Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
Activate the plugin through the WordPress admin panel.

No, it only tracks word count and goals. It does not modify your posts.
Can I set a default word count goal for all posts?
Yes, you can set a global goal in the plugin settings.
