WowInvoice helps you create PDF invoices, packing slips, and delivery notes for your WooCommerce orders. Configure your store details, customize the included document templates, and choose the available email options for each document type. Documentation | WowInvoice Pro Free vs Pro: The free plugin generates PDF invoices, packing slips, and delivery notes. Picklists, shipping labels, credit notes, and UBL invoices are Pro features provided by the separately installed WowInvoice Pro; they are not included in this plugin.

Minimum Requirements Private document storage PDF generation requires writable storage outside web-served directories. WowInvoice checks local temporary directories and never falls back to public uploads. On restricted hosts, ask your host for a private local path and set WINV_PRIVATE_TEMP_DIR in wp-config.php. Additional web-server aliases must be registered through winv_public_storage_roots. If safe storage is unavailable, PDF generation fails and generated email attachments are omitted; the status screen shows the configuration error. See docs/private-document-storage.md for setup and cleanup details. Automatic installation Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t even need to leave your web browser.
  1. Go to your WordPress Plugin installation menu (Dashboard > Plugins > Add New)
  2. In the search field type "WowInvoice" and press enter.
  3. "Install Now" and then click "Active"
Manual installation For Manual installation, you download our product from WordPress directory uploading it to your web-server via your FTP or CPanel application.
  1. Download the plugin and unzip it
  2. Using an FTP program or CPanel upload the unzipped plugin folder to your WordPress installation’s wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  3. Activate the plugin from the Plugins menu (Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins) within the WordPress admin.

What happens to my existing WooCommerce orders after installation?

Existing orders remain in WooCommerce. Enable the existing-order option to allow invoice generation for orders placed before the plugin was installed. This option does not run a bulk backfill of all past orders.

Can I control when invoices are generated and sent?

Select invoice creation statuses and the WooCommerce email types that should include invoice attachments. These settings control different stages of the workflow. WooCommerce sends the selected emails according to its own email settings.

Can customers download invoices from their account page?

Of course, you can allow customers to download invoices from their my account page or order email.

Is WowInvoice suitable for both small and large WooCommerce stores?

Suitability depends on your hosting resources, order volume, document settings, and other extensions. Test PDF generation and email workflows at your expected volume before relying on them in production.
