WP Current Subcategories simply add a widget to show current subcategories only if:
- User in a category page

Current category has subcategories
After installing WP Current Subcategories go to Widget Areas and add WP Current Subcategories widget:

Title - Choose the Title of Widget Section
- Prefix - If checked add parent category name before subcategory name
