Using the built-in YouTube search, you can import video details into the YouEarth database. After getting a Google Earth API key from the
Google website and entering that into YouEarth, you can put a [youearth] shortcode in a post or a page and you will find a GoogleEarth instance
there with your videos pinned on it.
YouEarth includes the ability to search YouTube for videos using the YouTube API, and will check each video has either GEO location coordinate data
or the uploaded location before returning it. It is possible to search for videos directly using the video ID also.
This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.
- Upload the YouEarth directory to the to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
- Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
- Search for and import videos using the YouEarth menu item under Settings
- Enter in an absolute URL for a png image you would like to use as the pins on YouEarth
- Add the [youearth] shortcode in one of your posts or pages
