Zalu – KI-Website-Assistent

Zalu embeds an AI chat widget on your website. The assistant answers visitor questions exclusively based on your own website content (no hallucinated answers), in the visitor's language, and links directly to the matching page or product. This plugin relies on the third-party service zalu.ai. A Zalu account is required (a free plan is available). All configuration — appearance, content ingestion, analytics, lead forms — happens in the Zalu dashboard; the plugin itself only connects your site and loads the widget. How it works:

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Go to Settings → Zalu and click "Mit Zalu verbinden" (Connect with Zalu).
3. Sign in (or register) at Zalu and confirm — done. The site key is stored automatically.

Without a connected site key, no widget is loaded and no data is sent anywhere. Für deutschsprachige Nutzer: Zalu ist ein KI-Chat-Assistent aus Deutschland. Er beantwortet Besucherfragen ausschließlich aus deinen eigenen Website-Inhalten, mehrsprachig und ohne Tracking-Cookies. Plugin installieren, „Mit Zalu verbinden" klicken, fertig.

1. Upload the zalu-ai folder to /wp-content/plugins/ (or install the ZIP via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin).
2. Activate the plugin.
3. Go to Settings → Zalu and click "Mit Zalu verbinden" — sign in, done.

If you previously used the plugin under its old name (ki-website-assistent), your stored site key is migrated automatically; please deactivate and remove the old plugin.
