Zenda Envíos Correo Argentino for WooCommerce

Zenda connects your WooCommerce store to Correo Argentino, the Argentine postal service, so the shipping cost your customer sees is the real one. Rates are calculated at checkout against the MiCorreo API, using the destination postcode and the weight and dimensions of the cart. No more flat rates that lose you money on long-distance orders, and no more cost tables you have to update by hand every time the carrier changes its prices. The plugin interface is in Spanish, since Correo Argentino only ships within Argentina and the plugin is aimed at Argentine merchants. "Correo Argentino", "MiCorreo", "Paq.Ar", "WooCommerce" and "WordPress" are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe which services this plugin integrates with. "Zenda" is our own name for the integration, not the carrier's. What it does

• Real-time rates. Queries the MiCorreo API with the postcode, weight and dimensions of the order. The customer sees the exact price before paying.
• Home delivery and branch pickup. Offer either one, or both, at different prices.
• Branch picker at checkout. Over 2,000 Correo Argentino branches, filtered by province and searchable. The chosen branch is stored with the order.
• Clásico and Expreso services, with the estimated delivery times reported by Correo Argentino.
• Setup wizard that walks you through the credentials and verifies the connection before you go live.
• Built-in diagnostics that catch the usual problems: wrong credentials, a shipping method that was never added to a zone, products with no weight set.
• HPOS compatible (High-Performance Order Storage).

Everything above is available to everyone, with no key to enter, no account to open with us, and nothing that expires. Which checkout you need Zenda renders its branch picker on the WooCommerce classic checkout (the shortcode one). If your store uses the block checkout, home delivery rates are still calculated normally, but the picker is not rendered there — so the plugin hides the branch pickup option rather than offering a shipping method the customer could not complete, and tells you so in the admin. What you need A MiCorreo account (Correo Argentino's service for small businesses and sole traders). It is free and you open it on the Correo Argentino website. The plugin also supports Paq.Ar accounts, for customers with a commercial agreement, with a configurable rate. Zenda Pro Everything Zenda does happens before the sale: quoting and choosing a branch. What comes after the sale — creating the shipment, labels, tracking, buyer notifications — is a separate paid plugin, Zenda Pro, distributed from our own site. None of its code is in this package.

1. Install and activate the plugin from Plugins > Add New.
2. Follow the setup wizard that opens on activation, or go to Envíos Correo Argentino > Configuración.
3. Enter your MiCorreo credentials and test the connection.
4. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping, open the relevant zone and add Envíos Correo Argentino as a method.
5. Choose whether you offer home delivery, branch pickup, or both.

Important: for rates to work, your products must have a weight set. The plugin's diagnostics page tells you which ones don't. Compiled code None. All the JavaScript and CSS in this plugin is distributed exactly as it was written, unminified and with no build step. There are no bundles, no minified third-party code, and no tool-generated files.

• The admin menu icon is now the Zenda mark instead of a generic envelope. The envelope drew the carrier, not us, and it was the last thing in the plugin still wearing the old identity.
• Fixed: the logo on the plugin's screens was requested at a fixed URL, and browsers cache it for a year — so a new logo would not have reached anyone who had already opened those screens. The URL now carries the version number.

• Fixed 27 spelling mistakes in the built-in help centre: questions that opened without the "¿", "Si" where the affirmative "Sí" was meant, "esta" for "está", and a fistful of missing accents — tamaño, dimensión, integración, producción, documentación, selección, límites, aún, creó, válido. The plugin's interface is written in Argentine Spanish rather than translated into it, so these were mistakes in the original text: every merchant reading the help centre saw them, whatever language pack they had installed.

• The plugin now carries the Zenda logo, and every link to the paid edition points at its new name and home: Zenda Pro, at zendaenvios.com. Nothing the plugin does changed.
• Added the Update URI header, so WordPress only ever offers updates for this plugin from wordpress.org.

• Renamed to Zenda Envíos Correo Argentino for WooCommerce, with a matching prefix (zenda_) on every option, hook, AJAX action and asset handle.
• The branch selector's CSS and JavaScript, the help centre's stylesheet and the admin notices' dismissal script are now registered and enqueued instead of being printed inline.
• The admin notice about the block checkout now explains the limitation and what to do about it, without pointing anywhere else.

• Fixed: the explanation added in 1.2.0 never appeared in the block checkout — the one WooCommerce installs by default. It hooked the two filters the classic checkout templates apply, and the block checkout renders that message from its own JavaScript and never calls them. It now also goes out through the Store API, the same channel the branch validation already used. It is only emitted when no shipping method quoted at all: if the store offers local pickup or a flat rate as well, a notice there would block a checkout that could still be completed.

• Fixed: the plugin asked for its translations too early when registering its scheduled tasks, which WordPress 6.7 and later logs as a notice. Nothing was broken and it was only visible with debugging on, but it filled the log and pointed at us.
• New: when Correo Argentino does not show up at checkout, it now says why instead of just disappearing. Shoppers are told what they can act on — the postcode is still empty, the cart is over the weight limit — and store administrators get the exact cause with a link to the screen that fixes it. The explanation survives a page reload, which matters because WooCommerce caches calculated rates and does not recalculate on every view.

• New: if the Correo Argentino API does not respond, the checkout shows the last known rate instead of leaving the customer with no shipping options at all. The fallback rate is only served for 72 hours; after that it fails on purpose, because a genuinely old rate would have you undercharging. Every time it is used it is recorded in WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
• Rate lookups at checkout now wait 8 seconds instead of 15. With a healthy API the answer comes back in under a second, so the only thing that changes is how long it takes to give up.
• Fixed: an expired token with the API down would sink a quote that was already cached. The cache is now checked before authenticating.
