详情介绍:

GreenOrb Statistics is a self-hosted WordPress analytics plugin and Google Analytics alternative that shows you how much of your traffic is automated. Known bots and referrer spam are filtered, likely bots are flagged for you to review, and it itemises what it found so you can see what your traffic is really made of. Your statistics stay in your own WordPress database, nothing is sent to Google or any other analytics service, and it can run with zero cookies. It is built as independent modules, so you only run the tracking you actually use. Watch a three-minute tour of the dashboard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nABpBG-y4Hg Highlights Also available in Pro These are part of GreenOrb Statistics Pro and are not included in the free plugin: Bot filtering Automated traffic is filtered using an open-source bot-signature list, with a headless-user-agent check and an optional per-IP daily hit cap. A daily behaviour scan also flags the bots that pass every filter: real-browser traffic that keeps coming back to one page, reloads one page over and over in a single visit, or arrives as a wave of brand-new visitors from the same country and device who each view one page and do nothing else. A post going viral is not flagged, because real readers always include some who scroll, click or stay. It also skips referrer spam (fake visits from known spam sites, using Matomo's public referrer-spam list bundled with the plugin), tracking hits a browser says were sent from another website, and any bot names you add yourself. Optionally, the plugin can also check which network each visit comes from. Visits from cloud and hosting companies' networks (Tencent Cloud, Amazon, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean and about 40 more) are almost always automated, because real people rarely browse from rented servers. You choose whether those visits are flagged for you to review or left out of your statistics. The lookup uses DB-IP's free network database on your own server; it is off until you switch it on and download the database. The setup wizard offers to switch it on, and the Bot Filtering report has a button that deletes every flagged data-centre visitor at once and recalculates your totals. Privacy first Video tutorials Credits & attributions Bundled third-party code, with each project's full licence text included alongside it in the plugin: GreenOrb Statistics is licensed GPL v2 or later. The "or later" is what allows the LGPL v3 component above to be distributed as part of the whole, so do not narrow the licence to bare GPL v2.

  • The Visitors report: unique, new and returning visitors, with views and visitors charted against the previous period.
  • The Geography report: countries, top country and continent, with a shaded visitor world map.
  • The Bot Filtering report: exactly how much automated traffic was rejected before counting, and the reason for every rejection.

常见问题:

Does this send my visitors' data to a third party?

No. All tracking and reporting happens on your own server, your data is stored only in your WordPress database, and no external call is ever made to render a report. The plugin does contact a small number of third parties, none of which are sent visitor data, and all of which are itemised under "External services" above. Three of them are jobs your server does, and none of them run unless you turn them on or press a button: refreshing the bot-signature list, downloading the geolocation database, and looking up the title of an embedded YouTube or SoundCloud track. The one exception is not your server and is not optional in the same way: on a page that embeds a YouTube video or a SoundCloud player, the visitor's browser loads that provider's player API so plays can be detected. This contacts only the provider whose player is already embedded on that page — no host your visitor's browser wasn't already reaching — and it doesn't happen at all on pages with no such embed, or for a visitor who has declined statistics consent.

Why do my statistics show more visitors than I expected?

Often because some of those visitors are automated. GreenOrb Statistics filters known bots using the open-source Matomo bot list, skips headless browsers and referrer spam, and flags real-browser bots that get past those checks by how they behave: many sessions on one page and no scrolling, clicking, downloads or plays. If you switch on the optional data-centre check, it can also flag or exclude visits from cloud and hosting networks. Some automated traffic still looks exactly like a person, so treat flagged visits as likely bots, not proof.

Is it a Google Analytics alternative?

Yes, for most sites. It covers page views, visitors, sessions, traffic sources and campaigns, devices, geography and content reports. You don't need a Google account, and your statistics are not sent to Google or any other analytics service.

Can it run without cookies?

Yes. Go to Settings → Privacy & Data and turn off Visitor cookie. That is the only cookie the plugin sets for your visitors. With it off, visitors are counted with a privacy hash that changes every month, so returning visitors can't be recognised from one month to the next. The plugin also keeps a small note in the browser's local storage so a quick reload isn't counted as a second view. Turn off Browser storage in the same place and it stores nothing in the visitor's browser at all; every page load then counts. Whether you need a consent banner depends on the rules where you and your visitors are, so these two settings let you choose exactly what is stored.

Does it work with caching plugins?

Yes. View tracking is recorded server-side and via a lightweight front-end script, so it works alongside page caching.

Do I need an API key for geolocation?

No. The free DB-IP Lite database works without an account or key, and Cloudflare's country header is used automatically when your site is proxied through Cloudflare. MaxMind GeoLite2 is also supported if you prefer it. Geolocation is off until you ask for it: no database is downloaded on activation. Choose the geography step in the setup wizard, or press Download on Settings → Geography, and lookups then happen entirely on your own server.

Does it require WooCommerce?

No. The plugin works on any WordPress site. WooCommerce reporting is a Pro feature, and even in Pro it only loads when WooCommerce is active.

What is the difference between the free plugin and Pro?

The free plugin is a complete analytics tool: page views, visitors, sessions, journeys, referrers and campaigns, devices, geography, content and author reports, bot filtering, tracked clicks, email reports, the dashboard widget, annotations, and CSV export. Pro adds the modules listed under "Also available in Pro" above — WooCommerce revenue reporting, goals, Web Vitals, media, forms, spike alerts, SPA tracking, Ask AI, and excluded countries.

Where is my data stored?

In custom tables in your site's database (prefixed greenorb_statistics_). Uninstalling the plugin removes its data according to your settings.
