Global Consent Gate by INformigados provides a customizable cookie banner and privacy choices panel. It is designed to assist a WordPress site with cookie/tracking consent requirements. It does not and cannot guarantee legal compliance. Legal obligations depend on your jurisdiction, sector, users, technologies, vendors, purposes and current law.
The default "Global Strict" configuration takes a conservative approach:
- Necessary technologies can run immediately.
- Preferences, Analytics and Marketing are off until the visitor grants that category.
- Accept All and Reject Non-essential are equally prominent by default.
- Visitors can reopen the panel and withdraw/change choices.
- Choose a cookie, shield or sliders icon, text or both; customize its colors, size, spacing and side.
- Settings are organized into General, Appearance, Text & links, Integrations, Records and About tabs.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC) forces Marketing off when enabled.
- Google Consent Mode v2 can be set to denied before supported tags and updated after the choice.
- Optional pseudonymous consent receipts can be stored locally in WordPress.
- No front-end JavaScript framework, jQuery dependency, remote CSS, remote fonts or external service is required by the plugin itself.

- Upload the plugin ZIP in Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Activate Global Consent Gate.
- Open Settings > Global Consent Gate.
- Review the text, URLs and legal profile.
- In Integrations, optionally enter your GA4 Measurement ID or Meta Pixel ID. Review the service disclosures and update your privacy policy.
- Save settings and test in a private/incognito window before production.
- Test Accept, Reject, category choices, withdrawal, policy-version re-consent and GPC.
常见问题:
Does this automatically find and block every cookie?
No. It gates only the built-in GA4 and Meta Pixel integrations. Audit your theme, other plugins, embeds and tag managers separately. There is no executable snippet editor.
Does a regional profile change the rules automatically?
No. Profiles are documentary labels. Every profile uses the same strict opt-in behavior for optional categories, without geolocation.
Is this a certified CMP or a legal compliance guarantee?
No. The plugin assists with consent controls. It is not a Google-certified CMP or an IAB TCF implementation, and cannot guarantee compliance with GDPR, LGPD or other laws.
Can I customize the floating privacy button?
Yes. Appearance includes icon-only, text-only and combined modes, three icons, left/right placement, size, edge spacing and colors. Text & links includes your banner wording and policy URLs.
