leenkat-author-autocompletefolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate Leenkat Author Autocomplete from the Plugins screen.
- Open a post or another supported post type.
- Use the Author interface to search for and select an eligible WordPress user or guest author.
- If needed, create and manage guest authors from Users > Guest Authors.
- Save, update, or publish the content normally.

Does this plugin create a separate author system?
The plugin continues to use the native WordPress post author field for registered users. It also provides an optional guest-author system for crediting writers who do not have WordPress user accounts.
What is a guest author?
A guest author is a credited writer stored by the plugin without a WordPress login. A guest author can be selected on a post and displayed as the credited author on the front end.
Can a guest author be converted to a WordPress user?
Yes. Guest authors can be converted to WordPress users from Users > Guest Authors. Linked articles are transferred to the new user after the account is created successfully.
What information can I search by?
You can search eligible WordPress users by display name, username, or e-mail address. Guest authors can also be found by name.
Which users appear in the search results?
Registered users must have the required capability for the current post type. Guest authors created by the plugin can also appear in the author search.
Does it work with custom post types?
Yes, provided the post type supports WordPress author functionality and its capabilities allow author selection.
Does it support both WordPress editors?
Yes. The plugin supports both the Classic Editor and the Block Editor (Gutenberg).
Is the plugin translation-ready?
Yes. User-facing strings are internationalized using standard WordPress translation functions and can be translated through the WordPress.org translation system.
