With this plugin, there is no need to modify code such as footer.php which if done incorrectly can cause your site to break or new theme updates will stomp over your changes requiring you to remove footer credits on each update.   1. From WordPress Admin, go to Plugins -> Add New
  2. Search for plugin "Remove WP Footer Credit"
  3. Install and Activate
  4. Go to Setting -> General
  5. Enter the text you would like to replace in given text box
  6. Click Save
