Yes, for sites that need front-end login, course navigation, earned certificates and lesson autocomplete. All 36 modules are free, including completion on visit and after manual quiz grading, which Uncanny Toolkit offers in its Pro version. Vital Addons also includes quiz-pass and form-submission completion, Focus Mode controls and shared design settings. Feature details and supported integrations differ, so compare the modules your site uses before switching. Settings and third-party shortcodes are not migrated automatically.
Yes. Turn on Autocomplete on Visit and eligible lessons and topics are marked complete when an enrolled learner opens them. Each lesson and topic can inherit the global setting, always autocomplete or never autocomplete, so steps that should keep the Mark Complete button still have it. LearnDash continues to enforce access, progression order, lesson timers, video progression, assignments and child quizzes; when it refuses completion, the native Mark Complete button stays in place.
Yes. Vital Addons detects selected overlapping controls from Uncanny Toolkit and PowerPack for LearnDash. Keep one implementation of each behavior, turn off the overlapping control in the other plugin, and test the combination on staging.
The course modules need LearnDash, which is a separate commercial plugin. The login, menu visibility, admin bar, login-state content and email sandbox utilities also work on sites without LearnDash. Modules whose requirements are missing are shown as unavailable.
No. All 36 modules start disabled. Enabling Bulk Course Access does not run a conversion: it requires its own preview and explicit confirmation.
WordPress 6.7 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. Course integrations have been verified with LearnDash 5.1.9 and 5.1.10; older LearnDash releases have not been verified. If a required API is missing, the affected module is unavailable. PHP 7.4 compatibility has been reviewed statically, and runtime testing uses PHP 8.1 and 8.2. LearnDash 5.1.9 has known upstream notices on PHP 8.4 and 8.5, so use a PHP version your LearnDash installation supports. Optional modules need their own plugin, such as Course Grid, a supported form builder or ProPanel. The Settings screen shows which dependencies are available.
Gravity Forms 2.5+, Elementor Pro's classic Form widget and Contact Form 7. Each form must opt in. Elementor Pro and Contact Form 7 have been tested locally; the Gravity Forms adapter has not yet been tested against a licensed live installation, so test your workflow on staging. Elementor Atomic Forms, WPForms, Formidable Forms and Fluent Forms are not supported.
WordPress still handles passwords, sessions and reset keys. CAPTCHA is off by default. reCAPTCHA and Turnstile need a separate rendering and server-verification integration; Vital Addons does not include a standalone provider connection, and a provider selected without both adapters fails closed and shows "Needs setup". CAPTCHA rendering adapters return allowlisted container, label, input and textarea markup. Inline scripts, event attributes and embedded frames are removed. Enqueue provider scripts through the WordPress script API and validate the submitted token in the server-verification adapter. The optional WP 2FA adapter hands authentication to that plugin's native verification flow. REST verification, passkeys and other two-factor plugins are not supported. Test your enforcement policy and recovery route before replacing the core login page.
It stops outgoing WordPress email while it is on, and a persistent admin warning shows that it is active. Don't enable it on a site where users rely on emailed login codes. Turn the module off to restore normal delivery. Vital Addons does not log email bodies or passwords.
No. It allows review of completed, published lessons and topics only, for courses you select, after a native expiry that happened while the rule was active. It does not grant access to unfinished steps or quiz attempts, infer rights from old progress, or restore a manually revoked enrollment. Configuration changes, deactivation and enrollment changes remove retained review rights.
Yes. The module keeps one operation journal per administrator and site. Confirm a rollback to restore access modes that still match that operation; changes made in between are reported as conflicts instead of being overwritten. Clearing history, erasing the administrator's Vital Addons data or deleting data on uninstall removes the journal. The page-level Undo does not undo a bulk operation that has already been applied.
Exclude login and reset pages and personalized learner pages from shared full-page caching, and purge page caches after changing access, visibility, redirects or design. Supported purge integrations do not replace the cache rules your host, CDN or authentication plugins require. Login-state visibility controls presentation only; it is not a way to protect content. Nested block and shortcode output allows standard post HTML and form controls, while inline scripts, event handlers and embedded frames are removed.
Yes. The original featurepack_ shortcode tags remain supported alongside the vital_ aliases, such as [vital_login], [vital_resume] and [vital_certificates], and saved blocks and settings keep their internal identifiers. If you are replacing a prerelease FeaturePack installation, deactivate it before activating Vital Addons and never run both together.
Module and design settings, configured course and menu metadata, optional account-verification state, a bounded per-user resume history, observed-expiry review records and administrator bulk-operation journals. Authentication throttles use short-lived hashed fingerprints. WordPress personal-data export and erasure include Vital Addons learner data and bulk journals, and the WordPress Privacy Policy Guide contains suggested text for site owners. Settings are kept on uninstall by default. To remove Vital Addons data, open Help → Data on uninstall and enable deletion before deleting the plugin. Short-lived safety markers and authentication throttles are cleared either way. Your posts, menu items, shortcode and block content, third-party form settings and unrelated data are never removed.
No. Vital Addons sends no telemetry, license checks or remote asset requests, and its font, scripts and styles are bundled locally. Email uses your site's configured mail transport. Optional integrations may contact their own providers under their own settings and policies; Vital Addons itself does not submit CAPTCHA requests. LearnDash is available separately at https://www.learndash.com/.
Post in the support forum. Bug reports, setup questions and module ideas are all welcome there.
PHP, JavaScript and CSS are included as readable source in the plugin ZIP, and nothing needs compiling. WordPress supplies its standard script libraries. LICENSE and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt describe the GPL and the bundled Outfit font license.
